The Merwinsville Hotel Restoration is celebrating their 50th anniversary.

They are placing artisan glass orbs, made by Nunwell Glass, that are hidden at historic sites and nonprofits in the Litchfield area.

The rules are simple...if you find one, you get to keep it. Just be sure to register it online at www.merwinsvillehotel.org.

Each place has a map and a list of participating businesses.

Good Luck, and happy hunting!

Pottery

We will have pottery for sale crafted by Master Potter Abdul Matin Malikzad.

He is a 7th generation potter using traditions that are over 500 years old.

We had a slideshow, demonstration, and pottery sale to benefit the Malikzada family, and will continue to have his pottery for sale.

Matin (pronounced “Mateen”)
was the head of the pottery department at the Turquoise Mountain Academy in Kabul.
